Throughout the year it is the responsibility of the subject leader to monitor class books and gather exemplars, through this consistency across classes will be evaluated and progression of learning will be measured.

All children are assessed termly through a mind map activity, where they can record what they have learnt and understood in a variety of ways, in addition to this key pupils will be monitored termly in relation to end of unit I can statements.  The exemplars will support assessment and give class teachers a clear view of expectations with in the subject. It will also inform future planning of the curriculum.
