We follow the National curriculum for Music as well as a commercial scheme alongside our own school curriculum map. The Music curriculum ensures students sing, listen, play, perform and evaluate. We chose the Music Express scheme for Music as previously teachers have admitted that their knowledge of teaching Music is minimal and they lack confidence. The Music Express scheme allows teachers of all abilities in Music to be equipped with the correct knowledge, understanding and resources to teach a meaningful, exciting and engaging lesson. This is embedded in the classroom activities as well as the weekly singing assemblies, various concerts and performances and the learning of how to play a variety of  instruments.
